Planar Trackers in the Tracker Mini-View

image

The tracker mini-view is shown here, surrounded by two rows of planar control buttons. It also appears on the Tracker Control Panel.

The following operations are possible when a planar tracker is selected in the mini-view on either the Tracker Control Panel and Planar Control Panel. On operations shown with an asterisk( *), holding down the control key slows down movement even more for high-precision placement. As usual in SynthEyes, a right-click cancels any drag operation in progress.

Drag * in the center area() of the mini-view to move the entire planar rectangle, setting corner keys if they aren't there already;

Drag * any of the four corners of the mini-view to move just that corner;

ALT/command-drag * to move one corner, while freeing the other three to accommodate geometric, aspect, and FOV constraints, as in the camera view;

Drag the nominal center point marker (red crosshair);

Right-click (anywhere in the view) to key the corners at their current locations, without moving them;

Right-click when the corners are already keyed to remove the key, possibly changing the main frame;

Control-right-click to delete all keys except on the main frame.

Scrolling the mouse wheel steps the current frame forward or back; tracking occurs if that matches the current tracker's direction.

You have more potential accuracy by zooming the main camera view than using the tracker mini-view, due to the mini-view's limited resolution.
