Stereo Pair Selection

Trackers can only be selected on the active tracker host (active object). The matching trackers in the other eye (cross-selected trackers) are shown in the camera and perspective view in a different color (orange by default, "CamVu Cross Trackers" and "Persp, Opposite sel" in the preferences). This makes it easy to check the matching.

If you click a tracker on a camera view that is not the active one, what happens? If you have clicked into a second camera view, then the active tracker host is changed to match that camera view, and the tracker becomes selected.

Fine point : if more than one tracker is selected, and you click on one of the matching, cross-selected, trackers in the other view, then all of the cross- selected trackers become selected, not just the one you clicked, so you don't have to re-select that particular set.

The situation is a bit different if you are using the camera+perspective view

setup:

ACHTUNG ! Stay awake, this next one is tricky: if you click on a tracker in the perspective view, that tracker will not be selected, because it is not on the currently-active camera, but instead the matching tracker on the other camera (in the camera view) will be selected. That will in turn make the tracker you just clicked (in the perspective window) turn orange, because its matching tracker is now selected. The active tracker host will not change. This will be more clear when you try it. If you want to select and edit a tracker displayed in the perspective view (on the opposite eye), you should switch the views with minus sign—the camera view is the place to do that.
