Maya-Style 3-D Navigation

ALT-left will Orbit, ALT-middle will Pan, ALT-right will Dolly, and control-middle will scrub the time (release control or hold shift to scrub fast or faster), as in other viewport types. On Macs, you can use either the Maya-equivalent Opt key, or use the command key. These are available at all times within the perspective view, independent of the mode, and you can switch between them while dragging. On Linux, you may have to adjust your modifier key so that ALT is not taken by your window manager, as you do for Maya itself.

For increased Maya compatibility, you can turn on the preference "In Maya-style mode, tumble not orbit" though we believe that lowers typical productivity.

If you are exclusively using Maya navigation, you can remove the N accelerator from the Perspective view context, to use it for another purpose.
