Effect Name: BCC Multi Stretch Wipe
The BCC Multi Stretch Wipe filter, part of the BCC Transitions group, is a radial wipe with three additional stretch controls named Taffy Stretch. The Taffy Stretch parameters do not significantly impact render times.
Working with the Filter
Presets and Common Controls
- BCC filters come with a library of factory installed presets plus the ability to create your own custom presets and preview them with the BCC FX Browserโข.
- BCC filters also include common controls that configure global effect preferences and other host-specific effect settings.

- Background: This layer selection popup is not relevant when you have applied the filter as a true NLE-style transition and it will be hidden or disabled in that context. When applied as a normal โeffectโ as opposed to a transition, however, this menu is used to select the Incoming or Reveal layer for the transition.
- Animation: Menu controlling what drives the animation of the transition.
- Auto: Automatically generates a transition based on the transition length (when used as a transition) or the clip length (when used as a filter.)
- Percent Done: Requires the user to set keyframes to control the transition progression.
- Percent Done: When the Animation menu is changed to Percent Done then this slider can be manually keyframed to control the transition progression.
- Invert Wipe: Flips the progression of the animation over the course of the transition.
- Center: Sets the center point of the wipe on the X and Y axis.
- Radius: Sets the radius of the wipe.
- Softness: Softens the the edges of the corresponding stripes.
- Stretch Master: Sets the stretch amount of all the elliptical stretch and the taffy stretches parameters.
- Master Rotation: Sets the angle of the elliptical stretch and the taffy stretches.
- Master Rot. Rate: Sets the rotation rate for all the elliptical stretch and the taffy stretches.
- Ellipse Stretch: Stretches the shape of the wipe into an ellipse.
- Ellipse Angle: Auto-animates the ellipse stretch angle, rotating the ellipse stretch.
- Ellipse Rot. Rate: Auto-rotates the corresponding relative angle parameter.
- Taffiness: Sets the master intensity of the taffy parameters.
- Taffy Stretch:Determines the amount of taffy stretch. Negative values can create interesting results.
- Taffy Angle:Sets the angle of the taffy stretch.
- Taffy Rot. Rate:Sets the rotation for each taffy stretch.
- Scale Controls to Radius: When the Scale Controls to Radius checkbox is selected, the Softness, Border Widths, Texture and Influence parameters are scaled to the Radius setting.
- Gradient On: Enables modulating the wipe shape by an additional linear gradient.
- Gradient Amount: Sets the intensity of the gradient effect.
- Gradient Angle: Sets the direction of the linear gradient ramp.
- Ease In: Controls how quickly or slowly the effect amount increases at the beginning of the transition.
- Ease Out: Controls how quickly or slowly the effect amount decreases at the end of the transition.
Taffy Stretch Group
The Taffy Stretch parameters stretch the wipe into a shape that is similar to pulled taffy. There are three distinct taffy groups that can be utilized, each with the same parameters.
