Subject: Moving from earlier versions of Adobe to Adobe Creative Cloud.
Issue: Manually moving plugins from older versions of Adobe apps to Adobe Creative Cloud.
Cause: Adobe’s Creative Cloud update requires migration of Boris Plugins to work with them.
Steps to work around the issue:
For Mac OSX Users:
For BCC/FEC –
- Open Macintosh HD: Library: Application Support: Adobe: Common: Plugins: CS(whatever your current version is): Media Core
- Copy the plugins
- Paste into Macintosh HD: Library: Application Support: Adobe: Common: Plugins: 7.0 to be implemented in Adobe CC
For RED and FX -
- Open Macintosh HD: Applications: Adobe Premiere Pro CS (whatever version you’re currently running).
- Right click on Premiere Pro.app and select “Show Package Contents”
- Navigate to Premiere Pro: Contents: Plug-Ins: Common
- Copy “Boris RED.bundle” and/or “BorisFX.bundle” files to the corresponding folder in Adobe Premiere CC ( Macintosh HD: Applications: Adobe Premiere Pro CC: Right click on Premiere Pro.app and select “Show Package Contents”: Contents: Plug-Ins: Common )
For PC Users:
For BCC/FEC –
- Copy the BCC/FEC files from C: Program Files: Adobe: Common: Plugins: CS (whatever your current version is): Media Core to the 7.0 Media Core folder.
For RED and FX -
- Navigate to C:/Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Premiere Pro CS6/Plug-Ins/Common
- Copy FL7-BorisFX10 and/or FL7-BorisRED5 as well as FX6-BorisFX10 and/or FX6-BorisRED5
- Paste in C:/Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Premiere Pro CC/Plug-Ins/Common folder
