Drop Onto Mesh (Tracker)
Animated motion-capture-style paths are created for selected trackers by projecting them onto the specified mesh at each frame in the shot. If a head mesh is tracked as a moving object using immobile points on the head, this phase can be used on moving features such as the corners of the mouth, dimples, etc, to create animated paths that move on the surface of the head mesh, for a type of single-camera facial motion capture.
The affected trackers are those that are selected at the input to the phase. All selected trackers must be attached to the same camera or moving object. That camera, or the moving object's camera, is used as the vantage point to project the trackers from 2D into 3D.
If "Fill Gaps" is checked, gaps (where the tracker is not visible) are filled using spline interpolation in 3D. If it is not checked, such frames are left as a gap in the 3D path.
