X-Finder
An X-Finder model is intended for green-screen shoots with X tracking marks made of pieces of tape. It looks specifically for darker X’s against a lighter background. In all cases, you should set the image preprocessor’s Rez tab to a single channel (typically green) that provides the best (lowest-noise) view of the marks. Use a different channel or the Invert checkbox for light-on-dark marks.
Tip : X marks aren’t our favorite, despite their ubiquity. Spots are better: they are more accurate and not affected much by motion blur. See our treatise on this at https://support.borisfx.com/hc/en-us/articles/20550456211981- Shooting-Blue-or-Green-screens
