Final Effects Complete 5.0.1 FxPlug and Final Effects Complete 5.0.1 AE are now available as free updates to FEC 5 customers. The 5.0.1 updates add seven new transitions to the 108-filter packages and provide important improvements to existing transitions.
What's New in FEC 5.0.1
• Seven New Transition plug-ins, with presets: Blur Dissolve, Lens Wipe, Spherize Wipe, Griddler Wipe, Pin Wipe, Slant Wipe, and Rain Wipe.
• New Animation Tuning capabilities have been added to all FEC transition plug-ins. These new parameters are responsible for fine-tuning the pace and timing of auto-animated transitions as well as remapping and holding the effect using Ease In / Ease Out sliders.
FEC FxPlug integrates seamlessly with Apple Final Cut Pro, Apple Final Cut Express, and Apple Motion. FEC AE supports Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Autodesk Combustion, Eyeon Fusion, and Boris RED, Boris FX, & Boris Graffiti.

What is the oldest text animation effect in film history? You guessed right: the credit roll. Traditionally, a long page of text is rolled from the bottom of the screen revealing line after line. In the early days of cinematography, a paper print was physically rolled before the film camera to produce this effect. Hence the name: Credit Roll.
A complete set of tools for creating credit rolls is included with Boris Graffiti, Boris RED, and Boris Blue. The same functionality is available in Boris Calligraphy which is bundled with Apple Final Cut Pro and Apple Final Cut Express and Boris Title Toolkit which is available for Adobe After Effects.

Blue now supports Adobe CS3 for Windows XP as well as ATI graphics cards 
With the release of Version 2.5, Boris Blue is now available as an effect that can be applied directly within Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects timelines. This new integration lets Adobe CS3 users take advantage of Blue's great-looking 3D effects in their projects. Blue's 3D effects include high quality, fast-rendered 3D titles, 3D model import, particle effects, transitions, and more. In Premiere Pro, Boris Blue is available as a filter and as a single track transition effect; Blue can also be used to generate a composition clip. In After Effects, Blue is available as an After Effects filter - capable of utilizing up to seven tracks from the After Effects timeline as video inputs. Boris Blue continues to be available as a standalone application and as an Avid AVX plug-in for Windows XP.
