Step 1:
Setup the video tracks in order to create an A/B transition where the incoming video (A) is above the outgoing video (B) and the overlap is the desired length of the transition.

Step 2:
Add cuts to the tracks in order to isolate the area the transition will be.

Step 3:
Apply the Boris RED 4.0 filter to the trimmed clip in V2 and double-click the clip to load it into the Viewer window. Select the Filters tab and you should see the Boris RED 4.0 filter, drag the trimmed clip from V1 into the well labeled Video 2 in the Viewer widow. Now when you enter Boris RED V1 will be the incoming media and V2 will be the outgoing media just as it was in the older transition. All of the prebuilt transitions our Library should work correctly with the setup as well.
